About Cat's Series

The Olympic Peninsula series

Striking good looks and unimaginable inherited wealth have not bought happiness for the Irish Catholic O’Connells of Seattle, Washington. The siblings, ranging in age from 23 to 33, are unmarried, mostly estranged, and scattered to the four winds, thanks to petty squabbles and the devastating early death of their beloved father.

“Joe Bob Blade” is a country music star with a demanding diva girlfriend and vocal troubles. Teresa, the youngest, is disenchanted with her mother-approved fiancé and looking for the exit ramp from her current path as a professional socialite. David appears to be irrevocably changed for the worse by his experiences as an itinerant surgeon in Africa. Joe’s twin Jake, the reluctant CEO of the family business, resents having sacrificed his creative ambitions. Edward, a priest in Philadelphia, has mysteriously turned a cold shoulder on them all.

Enter the Ryan twins, unspoiled, resilient former foster children and agents of romantic chaos. What’s a controlling mother to do?

Set mostly in Port Townsend, Washington, but also in the Hoh Rain Forest, Lake Quinault, Sol Duc Hot Springs, North Bend, and Seattle, these five stand-alone romances span the latter half of the 1990s, less complicated times before smartphones, social media, and online dating.

Beyond the Olympic Peninsula series

Each book in The Beyond the Olympic Peninsula series features secondary characters introduced in the Olympic Peninsula series as they pursue happiness on their own turf.

The first book, which begins in Beverly Hills, California, in the year 2000, tells the story of George Reed Masters, who was introduced in Book 3 and turned up to create more mischief in Books 4 and 5. In Mister Movie Star, George hires, sight unseen, a personal chef who couldn't be more of a misfit in his crazy but lonely world. Peter Pan has met his match.

Expect characters from the original series to pop up here and there to catch you up on their lives.
